Chancellor Search Committee Invites Participation in Brief Online Survey about Chancellor Search

A brief online survey is being distributed widely to students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, friends and community members through a variety of listservs used regularly by the University, the General Alumni Association and the Office of New Students and Parents. The following message was included with that distribution, inviting people to participate in the survey:

Dear Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Parents, Friends and Community Members:

The Chancellor Search Committee invites you to share your views about Carolina and the qualities you believe are essential and desirable in our next chancellor.

Click here https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BPMPNV9 to start the survey, which includes five questions covering the University’s greatest assets, as well as specific priorities, qualities or expertise the next chancellor should possess. We ask that all responses be completed by December 15, 2012.

Your input will help the search committee better gauge the current views of the campus community, our greater Carolina family and the community as we move forward with the search process.

You may share additional feedback with the committee by sending an email to chancellorsearch@unc.edu or writing to Chancellor Search Committee, Campus Box #1794, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-1794.

Thank you for your help in assisting the search committee as we seek a worthy successor to Chancellor Holden Thorp who will embrace and build upon the University’s 200-year commitment to excellence in all that it does.

Sincerely,

Members of the Chancellor Search Committee
