Dear Carolina Community:
Happy 2017! Please take a moment to watch my welcome back video message for a look at what you might have missed while you were away – and what’s coming up this semester.
And a special thanks to all who worked so hard over the past few days to keep us safe and clear our roads, sidewalks and parking lots following the storm.
Thank you,
Carol L. Folt
Chancellor
In his remarks at Faculty Council on Jan. 19, Interim Chancellor Lee H. Roberts said, “There’s clearly no place for anti-Semitism or any other form of hatred on this campus.”
In a campus email, Interim Chancellor Lee H. Roberts expressed his excitement to join the University and wished Tar Heels a brilliant start to the new year.
“My advice to you is this: Go for it. Make this next chapter an unexpected one. You don’t always know what the future is going to hold.”
“Let empathy and compassion be your first and your second reaction.”
